Description

Medium to tall hairless plant. Stems square but without pronounced wings. Leaves oval to lanceolate, double toothed, usually with a heart shaped base. Flowers greenish with a purple brown upper lip.

Habitat

Hedgerows and woodland preferring damper places

Similar Species

Water Figwort has a pair of leaflets at the leaf base and has a square, winged stem.
